Mr. Darold Fletcher
Technologist of the Year
Darold Fletcher serves as the Manager of Databases, Web, and Special IT Projects for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Founder, Owner, and Lead Consultant for Kaleidoscope IT Consulting. In his roles, he works with the leadership or organizations to adapt to the everchanging landscape of technology to attain their business goals. Previously, Darold co-founded Be Like A Queen/King (BLAQK), a non-profit aimed at increasing business and technology skills of inner-city Chicago youth.
With 22 years working in IT, Darold has led teams in mom-and-pop operations and Fortune 100 companies. His marriage of technological and business acumen uniquely enables him to be a business solutions expert, as well as executor of the technologies needed to garner excellent results.
After just 7 months following his return to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Darold received the 2019 AKA Corporate Office Life Saver Award, given to an employee who has gone over and beyond job duties to assist the sorority’s executive director.
Darold holds a BS in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and an MSIS with a certification in Business Analytics from the University of Cincinnati. He is also a member of the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA), the Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA), and the Chicago Booth Black Alumni Association (CBAA).
