Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. - Cincinnati Alumnae Chapter
Community Organization of the Year
Since 1959, The Cincinnati Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (CACDST) has been committed to empowering Greater Cincinnati for success! We are passionate about empowering the youth in our community by offering first-class STEM programming to include our Youth Technology Summit, Delta Academy (STEM focus ages 11-14), and Delta Academy (college prep ages 15-18). Each year we develop a robust curriculum which includes laboratory projects and exciting field trips that cover neuroscience, robotics, cardiology, engineering, veterinary science and so much more. The programs have garnered many awards over the years; in 2019 the Delta GEMS & Delta Academy placed first and second in the NOBCChe (National Organization of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers) Science Bowl. The CACDST educational programs are offered free of charge to over 250 youth and funded by our chapter budget and grants. In further support of education of our youth, CACDST has awarded $500,000 in scholarships over the past decade to fuel the dreams of our youth desiring to attend college.
CAC was also honored to be bestowed the President Barack Obama’s Silver Volunteer Service Award which is granted to those organizations who demonstrate an exemplary commitment to community service!
